Our approach to international assignments
Many of our clients work on a global scale and need legal advice across a number of jurisdictions. Our approach to international work is to ensure that our clients’ interests come first and that they consistently receive the highest quality of advice across borders.

In Europe, we have an alliance with August & Debouzy in France (www.august-debouzy.com), GSK Stockmann & Kollegen in Germany (www.gsk.de), Rodés & Sala abogados in Spain (www.rodesysala.com) and Nunziante Magrone in Italy (www.nunziantemagrone.it). Together, we are committed to providing excellent advice on international projects for our clients. We have regular meetings to manage the alliance and practice groups across a range of disciplines and industries to develop best practice initiatives in their areas. Our partners, associates and key staff meet on a regular basis. We attend each others partners’ conferences. We hold an associates’ conference each year and this, together with regular secondments between the firms, broadens and deepens the personal relationships between us. These relationships play an integral part in delivering the levels of service that our clients expect.
Elsewhere, we believe that the best way of providing our clients with the quality of advice and service that they require is by working with a select number of law firms who are experts within their own jurisdictions in the areas of law that we require. This allows our clients to benefit from those firms’ deeper understanding of the culture, values and work-style of their particular countries.
We do not share fees with any of the firms we instruct. Our incentive in using these firms is to continue to improve our ability to provide our clients with the best quality of advice at local rates. We can freely choose the best local law firm for your business and are not forced to use an overseas law office simply because it bears our name. As a result of this approach, we have close and long-standing relationships with many of leading firms throughout the world and our clients benefit from this.
